INUNTJI PUTITJA | Desert Colours

29 October to 20 November

The intense environment characterised by vast areas of red sand, dramatic skies, and bursts of vibrant vegetation is reflected in the cultural and artistic practice of the Anangu people who live at Pukatja/Ernabella. INUNTJI PUTITJA (meaning ‘colours of the desert’ in Pitjantjatjara language) brings together a selection of paintings and ceramics that offer a glimpse into the world of the Anangu.
Artitja Fine Art Gallery is delighted to be hosting guest artists from the Ernabella Art Centre, who will be travelling from the APY Lands, almost 2500km away to attend the opening night of the exhibition.

The exhibition opens on Saturday 29 October with the Official Opening on: Friday 4th November 2021 | 6-8pm
