If Only I Had Wings to Fly

16-26 July 2026

If Only I Had Wings To Fly’ is a mesmerising personal account of leaving and losing and finding anew. The female figures in Anne’s work act as ciphers, obsessed with the possibility of fleshly flight, or restructuring the fabric of the world anew, but never quite. It’s a quiet grief for the world and family left behind, especially Anne’s beloved sister, who remains half there, half gone. It is also about the indomitability of the human spirit that adapts and survives. Anne started this work in the year 2000 and it has taken all these year to grow it into reality.
