‘A Celebration of Life’ brings together works created as part of Enya Wilkinson’s Year 12 Independent Project. A yearlong project studying ‘How the representation of the human body in various art-forms has evolved through the ages’. The change in how the human figure has been represented through time reflects changing cultural values and also human consciousness. The exhibition is made up of oil paintings on canvas, sketches, photographs and sculpture presenting a celebration of the human body in its organic form. The intention behind each piece is to embody the human figure in its raw and tender divinity.
